MESC has received notice of a confirmed case of COVID-19, at Maskwacis Outreach School. This individual was onsite at the school on Wednesday, February 24th. All students and staff that have been deemed close contacts have already been contacted prior to this notice being posted.
The health and safety of our students, staff and community is paramount. The following protocols have been enacted:
The school is closed until Monday, March 1st to be cleaned and quarantined.
Students and staff who have been deemed close contacts must isolate and follow directions from MHS. These individuals have already been notified.
All other staff can return to school as scheduled on Monday, March 1st.
All other students may return to school as scheduled on Tuesday, March 2nd.
Public health orders for self-isolation are mandatory, families contacted by MHS and/or AHS must follow their directions. The “MESC Guidelines to Manage a Positive COVID-19 Case” can be found on our website. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact your school.
It is essential for all students and staff to complete the daily self screening before entering the school and follow health and safety protocols in their school. We are excited to welcome students back to in-school classes. Student cohorts 1 & 2 will be combined and will attend in-school classes weekly, Tuesday - Thursday, beginning February 2nd.
Friday’s are designated for AHL students to attend in-school classes. AHL students can return February 5th.
Please ensure all learning packages are returned to the school with your child.
